How does art stay alive? By reading, listening and listening over and over again. By making words that were written a long time ago resonate within us. And it is particularly exhilarating when art continues itself. When past works become new new. In this respect, it is a wonderfully moving event, as the Hamburg singer-songwriter duo Fjarill Nonne set poems by Nelly Sachs and Pär Lagerkvist to music. Her ninth album “Poësi” removed deeply sad and dreamlike lyric poetry with its very own multi-layered soundscape between folk, pop, jazz and classical music. The Swedish singer and pianist Aino Löwenmark and the South African violinist Hanmari Spiegel artfully transform between the past and the present until an absolutely timeless magic is heard. Just poetry.

On April 9th we release our new video for the 1st single from the album POËSI. The poem set to music is called "Hier nehme ich euch gefangen / ihr Worte" and is by Nelly Sachs.

We were able to shoot the video with the wonderful director Torben Asmussen. We thank him and of course you, because many of you made this video possible!

The video can be seen from 9:00 here and on our YouTube channel! Have fun with it!

How does art stay alive? By reading, listening and contemplating it again and again. By words that were written a long time ago resonating very directly within us. And it is particularly gratifying when art continues to write itself. When past works inspire new ones. In this respect, it is a wonderfully moving event how the Hamburg singer-songwriter duo Fjarill has now set poems by Nelly Sachs and Pär Lagerkvist to music. Their ninth album "Poësi" combines deeply sad and dreamlike poetry with their very own multi-layered sound world between folk, pop, jazz and classical music. The Swedish singer and pianist Aino Löwenmark, together with the South African violinist Hanmari Spiegel, walks so artfully between then and now until an absolutely timeless magic emerges. Poetry, that is.
